But Where is the Christian Flag?

One morning on the way to school Brandon was talking about all of the buildings that had American flags outside of them. Then he asked "But where is the Christian flag?" He couldn't understand why none of the flagpoles looked like the one outide of his school. How are you supposed to explain something like that to a 5 year old?

A Few Random Photos

Why Did the Peacock Cross the Road?

Winnie the Pooh

This bear looked so cuddly. If I weren't afraid he'd rip my head off and eat if for lunch, I would have given him a hug.

A Bird's Eye View

Cherry Blossom Road

This is yet another picture taken from car, speeding along, snapping away. Not exactly the best idea in the world. But everyday I drive down this road and wish I could get a picture, but there's always a row of cars in front of me. The other day I got my chance. It was just me and the trees. I used Photoshop to make everything but the blossoms black and white. I love the spring.

The Seattle Aquarium

This picture was not edited in any way. I was trying to take a picture of these fish and my sister was standing next to the glass looking at them. Her reflection got in the picture and it looks so cool. Her eye is lined up perfect with the fish's eye. It was a total accident! It's creepy looking, but really awesome.

This was the coolest starfish I've ever seen.

It's me!

I love photoshop. I don't love my "drive-in movie screen" forehead.

DANGER!! Do not try this at home.

I took this while I was driving around after dropping Brandon off at school last week. Not the best idea when your cruising down a curvy road at 55 miles an hour, but it looked so cool, I couldn't help myself. The sun was positioned right behind this cloud and it was really pretty. So I grabbed my camera from the seat next to me and started snapping away. Nothing really spectacular about the picture, I just like it.

A few old photos

This was taken right after I got my new camera. Logan and I went on a walk at Lake Fennewick. It was about 40 degrees outside, but it was sunny and crisp and a really nice morning.

This was taken at Mill Pond park across from Auburn Riverside High School. It's one of our favorite places to take the boys for walks. There's hardly anybody else ever there. Except for about a billion ducks and frogs.

This was at the Woodland Park Zoo butterfly house a couple of summers ago. I don't know how that butterfly didn't move when I got so close because I haven't been able to get that same steady shot since then. They all take off as soon as you point your camera at them. It's one of my favorite photos. I love the color.

Wecome!!

Ok. So why am I doing this? I really don't think I need another place to post random crap on the internet, but oh well.

I post on a scrapbooking message board and a bunch of the ladies on there decided to start a photoblog challenge. Every week they all take a photo to fit a predetermined category and then post them on their blogs to share with each other. I'm too chicken to join their group, but I thought, why not start one on my own. So here we are! I'm going to take their challenges every week (or every so often, you know how I am with keeping a schedule) and then post my photos on here. Why? Who knows. I guess maybe because I'm awesome at doing portrait photography but the artsy-fartsy stuff still needs some work. I always see cool shots that I could take (and I have my camera with me at all times) but then I think "Who would want to look at that picture? What am I going to do with it?" So here's the answer. Now I have some where to display those random photos that I have nothing else to do with.

Ok, I'm rambling. Typical me. So I hope you enjoy checking this out every once in awhile and please feel free to leave plenty of comments. Nothing that will make me cry though!
